Cheeba Cheebas Premium Cannabis opens in West Kelowna

Cheeba Cheebas Premium Cannabis in West Kelowna officially opened Wednesday, making it the company's second location in the Okanagan.

"Cheeba Cheebas, it's kind of a funny name, Cheeba itself is a Rastafarian term for cannabis," says store owner Chris Gayford.

Gayford operates both cannabis stores, in West Kelowna and Rutland, along with head shops Mary Jane's Headquarters in both communities. 

Mary Jane's has served cannabis accessories in Kelowna since 2001, and Cheeba Cheebas is now located two doors down. In West Kelowna, Cheeba Cheebas is right beside Mary Janes.

"People had been asking if we had any Mary Jane at Mary Janes Headquarters, and for years and years I had to say no ... and now I can just send them next door over to Cheeba Cheebas, now that it's legal," says Gayford.

"To stay current and competitive, I had to evolve with the industry and bring cannabis as an offering so that people could come and have a one-stop shop."

Products available at Cheeba Cheebas include: dried flower products, capsules, oils, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates and more.

Gayford is also looking forward to infused drinks, which he expects will hit shelves in the first quarter of 2020.
