Shannon Lake Road reopened following crash

A crash has closed Shannon Lake Road Friday afternoon.

UPDATE: 2:10 p.m.

After a crash temporarily closed Shannon Lake Road Friday afternoon, the road has since been cleared, and traffic is moving through the area in both directions. 

Slippery roads are believed to have contributed to the crash, as snow continues to fall across the Valley. 

ORIGINAL: 1:45 p.m.

The snow continues to make for slippery roads across the Okanagan Friday, and a crash has now closed Shannon Lake Road.

Emergency crews are on scene at Shannon Lake Road near Crystal Drive, and traffic is being turned around.

It appears two vehicles were involved in the crash, but the nature of the crash, or any injuries suffered, is unknown at this time.
