If you see a firefighter at your door Monday, don't be alarmed – 'tis the season for giving, after all.
The Wilson’s Landing Fire Santa Run Food Bank Drive starts Monday, so watch for a jolly firefighter if you happen to live in the area serviced by fire department.
They are looking for non-perishable food donations as they go door to door in neighbourhoods they serve along Westside Road, collecting donations for the annual Christmas Santa Run food bank drive.
The food drive will go between 5 and 9 p.m., and Wilson’s Landing fire fighters will be joined by a jolly fire fighter from the North Pole as they travel by fire truck throughout neighbourhoods from Traders Cove to Shelter Cove including Lake Okanagan Resort, collecting food and cash donations for the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank facility in West Kelowna.
