West Kelowna kids will soon have more places to play.
As early as Monday, Sept. 30, West Kelowna will begin the installation of two new playgrounds.
Shannon Woods Park in the Shannon Lake Neighbourhood and McIver Park in the Glen Eagles area of the Glenrosa Neighbourhood will get new slides, swings, monkey bars, climbing features and more.
Playground construction is expected to be completed by mid-November.
Some temporary closures of the parks may be necessary as work progresses.
The total cost of the project will be approximately $165,000.
