Big condo plans on WFN

More information about a massive condominium development in West Kelowna has been revealed.

Ariva Resorts will build a 200-home gated community on 12 1/2 acres of prime land that has been leased from Westbank First Nation.

The development, which will overlook Okanagan Lake, will be geared towards “zoomers,” who are active baby boomers looking to downsize from their single-family homes.

“This group is highly active, health conscious and wants to live life to its fullest,” Ariva Resorts head Barry Johnson says. “Kelowna is the perfect place to live with its excellent climate, wines and vineyards, myriad of outdoor activities, and (it) remains affordable.”

The goal is to break ground on the multimillion-dollar project in 2020, and homes will range in price from $500,000 to $1.9 million.

Units will be 1,250 to 1,760 square feet, and will feature large outdoor decks that create a great room when glass, lakeview interior doors are opened.
