Wharf closing for repairs

West Kelowna's popular CNR Wharf will close Tuesday for repairs.

The wharf, in Gellatly Bay, sustained damage from last year's floods on Okanagan Lake.

High water levels and wave action during the flooding led to erosion under the structure.

The city has hired engineering and environmental professionals to supervise the repairs.

It's expected that work will take about a week.
