Dial-a-dope ring busted

RCMP have seized drugs and firearms from a West Kelowna home after a month-long investigation.

Police have been working on an Okanagan-wide dial-a-dope drug operation and went into action Wednesday, May 8th seizing illicit drugs and firearms.

The Kelowna Street Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on a private Mount Boucherie area residence located on Menu Road in West Kelowna. Plainclothes officers arrested a 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman.
“Our investigators believe that the drug dial-a-dope operation spanned across the Okanagan, from Kelowna to Penticton,” states RCMP Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey.
Once both suspects were taken into police custody, officers executed the warrant which yielded pre-packaged ready to sell illicit drugs, cash and a pair of firearms.
In total police seized over 350 grams of suspect methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl combined, a variety of over 940 suspected illicit pills, over $4,600 in cash, a loaded .38 calibre handgun and a SKS rifle.
The unnamed man and woman each face potential drug and firearms related charges. They have since been released and are expected to appear in court on a future date.
