Drought Hill crash cleared

DriveBC reports the crash scene has been cleared.

UPDATE: 2:30 p.m.

DriveBC says Highway 97 at Drought Hill is expected to reopen by 2:45 p.m.

Traffic is a standstill on Drought Hill heading in and out of Peachland Friday morning after a motorcycle appears to have collided with a car. 

The crash occurred on Highway 97 between West Kelowna and Peachland sometime after 1 p.m.

A motorist stuck in the traffic says a car is in the ditch and a motorcycle was involved, but that it doesn't appear anyone was seriously injured in the crash. 

Vehicle parts litter the highway and an ambulance is on scene. 

It's unclear at this time when the highway will be reopened.
