14-year-old on the run?

The mother of 14-year-old Ethan Burnett has reached out to Castanet to help find her son.

Tina Burnett tells Castanet that her son was flying back from Edmonton on his way home to Fort St. John B.C. but when he stopped in Vancouver to change flights it appears he simply left the airport and hasn't been seen since. "He was supposed to get on a connecting flight up to Fort St. John but he didn't get on that flight and the surveillance cameras show him walking away from the airport towards Vancouver. I'm pretty sure he's trying to make his way back to West Kelowna."

Burnett says she moved Ethan away from West Kelowna because she didn't like the direction his life was heading and she thought Fort St. John would be good for him. But Burnett says Ethan has friends in West Kelowna who she believes he is trying to re-connect with.

Burnett says she has alerted police in the lower mainland and in West Kelowna and she is hoping someone out there has information on her missing son and can help.
