Scooter thief strikes

A West Kelowna resident came back from a trip Monday morning to find his scooter stolen.

The thief was captured on video manoeuvring the red electric scooter off the front porch of the home on Brown Road.

"My wife told me it was gone. She got home first from our trip and said somebody stole your bike," Adi Koni said. 

Koni adds this isn't the first time the neighbourhood has dealt with theft. 

"It's an occurrence that happens on a weekly basis. They seem to go through our cars or break into cars. A couple of houses across the street have been robbed the last two years," he said. 

The scooter is worth an estimated $1,500. 

"We have been promised to have more RCMP officers in the area. I'm hoping my scooter gets found," Koni added.
