Sailboat slams motor boat

Heavy winds throughout the Okanagan Monday wreaked havoc on at least two boats on Okanagan Lake.

A white sailboat with black trim slipped away from its moorings somewhere on the lake and floated to an area dotted with beach lots on the west side of the lake across from the Delta Grand Hotel.

According to a resident of the beach property, the sailboat slammed into a neighbours speed boat.

Both the sailboat and speed boat suffered significant damage in the collision.

The two were still tangled together Monday evening.
