More water woes in West K

Two more water systems in West Kelowna are under a boil-water notice.

The city announced Wednesday afternoon that customers who get their water from the Sunnyside and West Kelowna Estates systems are on a boil-water notice, due to above normal turbidity.

The two systems have intakes from Okanagan Lake, as does the Pritchard system, which went on a boil-water notice Tuesday.

Residents are asked to boil their water for one minute before using it for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making ice or brushing teeth.

A water-quality advisory also remains for residents on the Lakeview Water System.

About 7,000 businesses and households are affected by these notices and advisories.

Impacted residents have free access to the bulk water station at the intersection of Shannon Lake and Asquith roads. Users must bring their own containers.
