The City of West Kelowna has gone to tender on Phase 2 of the Boucherie Road Wine Trail.
The $8.7-million project includes upgrades from Stuart to Ogden roads.
Council, in a 4-2 vote, approved going to tender in December.
The tender was posted Feb. 2, and is slated to close Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
The overall scope of the project includes road, utility, landscaping and streetscaping work.
- 15,300 square metres of asphalt roadway
- 1,200 lineal metres of storm main
- 1,640 lineal metres of water main
- 3,400 lineal metres of concrete curb and gutter
- 4,100 square metres of concrete sidewalk
- 80 ornamental street lights and wiring
- Landscape trees and irrigation system
- Retaining walls
The project was originally pegged at just over $6 million, however, the addition of a second roundabout and increased construction costs added another $2.5 million.
Roundabouts will be constructed at Hudson and Anders roads.
