Water advisory lifted

The City of West Kelowna has lifted the water quality advisory issued for users of the Lakeview Water System.

The advisory was lifted in consultation with Interior Health, after testing indicated turbidity levels had returned to below 1.0 NTU at the source.

Free water, which was made available at the bulk water station at Asquith and Shannon Lake roads when the advisory went into affect, will continue until the end of the month.

The advisory affected about 4,000 customers in Lakeview Heights, Boucherie Centre, Shannon Woods, Tallus Ridge and Shannon Lake.

It was put in place Sept. 7 due to high turbidity levels in the Rose Valley reservoir.
