For hire: Pokemon muscle

You've read the stories.

People on a Pokemon Go hunt shot at, robbed, mugged.

Do you fear that something, or someone, lurking around the corner is NOT a cute, yellow Pikachu?

West Kelowna native and self-described patriot, John Bennett has the solution.

Bennett is offering to provide Pokemon Go security for you, or your group, at a price.

"I have two years' experience from the Canadian Armed Forces, worked some small security jobs and have a general intimidation factor," said Bennett in his ad.

"You can use your lures for the Pokemon while I act as a repel to those with more devious intentions. I can be friendly and hang out in the midst of the group, can hang back outta sight as a silent observer, or can scout out various locations ahead of time to ensure you're safe."

According to his ad on the Facebook group "Okanagan Cash Jobs," Bennett said he will go anywhere in the Okanagan. He charges an upfront cost for fuel expenses, followed by $10 per hour for one person, $8 per hour per person for groups of two or three and $5 per hour per person for groups of four or more.

"Enlist me as the big, bearded veteran/taxi to safeguard your sought-after virtual friends."

To be fair, there have been no reports in the Okanagan of violence towards Pokemon Go hunters.
