After an unofficial soft launch last week, the ribbon will be cut on the new amphitheatre at West Kelowna's Memorial Park Friday night.
The official opening will take place prior to a performance by Elvis tribute artist Adam Fitzpatrick at Music in the Park.
Mayor Doug Findlater and guests will perform the ribbon cutting at about 7:40 p.m. Friday,
Music in the Park, produced and promoted by Creative Okanagan, takes place each Friday through Aug. 19.
Each evening kicks off at 6:40 p.m. with an emerging artist, followed by an opening act at 7, and the headliner at 8.

- Emerging Artist - Kelli Keagan
- Opening Act - Dark Horse
- Headline Act - Adam Fitzpatrick
West Kelowna Recreation staff will be in the park hosting games and activities for the kids. A food and beverage vendor will be operating during the concerts.
