Rockets Score Defenceman

A new name will appear on the Kelowna Rockets’ roster this year. Team President and GM Bruce Hamilton announced that defenseman Liam Couture would make the switch from the Medicine Hat Tigers.

“We felt we needed to add a depth guy to our line-up since losing Kevin Reinholt to a shoulder injury. We expect Liam to play in the fifth or sixth defensive role with our club. We feel this move provides our team with some extra insurance,” Hamilton says.

Couture is in his third season with the WHL and is a native of Calgary, Alberta.
