Another Tie For Rockets

  • The Kelowna Rockets and Vancouver Giants played to a 2-2 overtime tie before a sellout crowd at Prospera Place Saturday night. It was the first game between the two BC Division franchises and there will be a rematch this Wednesday at Prospera. Sunday night the Rockets travel to Kamloops to play the Blazers.
  • Everyone on Toronto's embittered bench had a nice view of LeBron James' jaw-dropping dunk, that is everyone but Raptors star Vince Carter. James scored 27 points, his final field goal coming on a ferocious dunk over Chris Bosh that sent the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 105-97 win Saturday night over the bickering Raptors.Full story
  • Mathieu Turcotte of Sherbrooke, Que., continued his amazing string of success on the World Cup short track speed skating circuit on Saturday with a gold medal performance in the men's 500-metres. Turcotte, who has medalled in six of his seven last races, clocked 42.021 seconds to win the event for a second straight World Cup competition. His big rival on the World Cup this season, Apolo Anton Ohno of the U.S., settled for silver in 42.427 while Jiajun Li of China was third in 43.297.Full story
