The Kelowna Rockets beat the Spokane Chiefs 4-0 at Prospera place last night. They now have a record of 11W-6L-2T. The next game is Friday, November 12 when they host the Red Deer Rebels.
West Vancouver defeated the KSS Owls Wednesday in the B C Field Hockey Championship Final. With 0-0 after regulation and 2 minutes remaining in overtime, West Van scored to win the game 1-0.
The visiting Toronto Raptors handed the red-hot Utah Jazz their first loss of the season, 104-95 at the Delta Center Wednesday night. Chris Bosh poured in a game-high 20 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Raptors (5-1) overcame a seven-point deficit and knocked the Jazz (4-1) from the ranks of the unbeaten.Full Story
Johan Santana, who pitches for the Minnesota Twins, is the odds-on favourite to win the American League Cy Young Award. The winner will be announced by the Baseball Writers Association of America at two pm Eastern. Boston's Curt Schilling is also in the race.
