Logan Stankoven was named the CHL's Player of the Year on Tuesday.
Kamloops Blazers forward Logan Stankoven has been named the top player in junior hockey.
The 19-year-old Kamloops native was named the CHL David Branch Player of the Year on Tuesday.
Stankoven finished the regular season third in the WHL scoring race with 104 points (45-59-104) and put up 1.76 points per game in the playoffs — tops in the WHL.
The Dallas Stars prospect is the first WHL player to be named the top skater in the CHL in 10 years. He is also the first Blazer to win the honour since Rob Brown did so in 1987.
Stankoven and the Blazers will host the Memorial Cup in 2023.
