Nolan Foote was traded as part of an NHL deal Sunday

Rockets' Foote traded

Any on-ice reunion between brother's Nolan and Cal Foote will likely be in opposing uniforms.

Nolan Foote, taken in the first round of the NHL draft by Tampa a year ago, was traded Sunday as part of a three-player deal with the New Jersey Devils.

The Lightning also sent Vancouver's first round draft choice to New Jersey in exchange for forward Blake Coleman.

The first round choice was acquired from Vancouver in the deal that sent J.T. Miller to the Canucks in the off-season.

In 26 games with the Rockets this season, Foote has 15 goals and 33 points.

However, he has only played part of one period since Dec. 12. He spent a month with Canada's gold-medal winning world junior team, and has missed almost five weeks recovering from an injury.

Tampa also drafted older brother Cal in the first round of the 2017 draft.

The two brothers played together in one preseason game.
