Rockets Lose More Ground

The formula is very simple for the Kelowna Rockets. Win or go home.

The Rockets, playing their second game in less than 24 hours, ran out of steam losing 5-0 in Tri-Cities. The loss, coupled with Chilliwack's 4-3 overtime loss in Seattle, leaves the Rockets three points behind the Bruins with two games left to play.

Kelowna host Kamloops Friday and Prince George Saturday while the Bruins have three games left, all at home, against Spokane, Kamloops and Vancouver.

One more Bruins win or Rockets loss and Kelowna will miss the post season for the first time in franchise history.

Sunday, Joel Broda scored three times, two coming on the power-play, to lead the Americans offensively.

Carey Price and Chet Pickard combined to block 29 shots to share the shutout.
