Kelowna Rocket forward Liam Kindree went under the knife

Kindree undergoes surgery

Kelowna Rockets forward Liam Kindree has undergone surgery to repair a broken collarbone.

According to the club, the surgery was successful.

Kindree suffered the injury during the second period of last Saturday's game with the Kamloops Blazers when he was hit in front of the Kamloops bench by Ryley Appelt.

This is the second time Kindree has been sidelined with a shoulder injury.

In 33 games this season, Kindree has eight goals and eight assists.

Kindree is expected to be out about four weeks.

He's the second Rocket to undergo surgery this season.

Forward Kyle Topping needed surgery to repair a broke foot.

He could return to the Rockets lineup within the next week.
