Kelowna Rockets head on the road minus several key players

Rockets limp on the road

The Kelowna Rockets will need contributions from up and down the lineup if they hope to snap a three-game losing skid.

The Rockets will head south for a three game swing through the US Division this weekend with a patchwork lineup.

Kelowna will be without forwards Kyle Topping (lower body/one week), Liam Kindree (upper body/four weeks) and Nolan Foote (lower body/week to week) and defenceman Sean Comrie (upper body/two weeks) all due to injury.

Forwards Mark Liwiski (upper body/day to day), Trevor Wong (lower body/day to day) and goaltender Roman Basran (day-to-day) are questionable for the weekend.

Defenceman Kaedan Korczak will miss all three games while he serves his three-game suspension.

The Rockets have recalled affiliated players Rilen Kovacevic, Dylan Wightman, Jarod Newell, Noah Dorey and Cole Tisdale for the trip.

The trip begins in Everett Friday and concludes with back-to-back games in Portland Saturday and Sunday.

Both teams are among the best in the country. Portland is ranked third while Everett is eighth in the latest CHL Top 10 rankings.

The Rockets enter the weekend a distant third in the BC Division with 45 points.

They're eight back of the streaking Victoria Royals and 12 behind division leading Kamloops.
