Kelowna Rockets will be happy to see someone other than a divisional foe.
The Rockets, who have played eight straight against B.C. Division opponents, entertain the Tri-City Americans Wednesday night.
Kelowna won just two of those eight games and have lost four straight overall. They remain only two points up on fifth place Chilliwack in the battle for the final playoff spot in the B.C. Division.
The Americans meantime have been on a roll of late, winning four in a row to move from fourth to second in the tight U.S. Division.
Tri-City defeated the slumping Vancouver Giants 4-2 on Tuesday.
After Wednesday's game the Rockets hit the road for games in Red Deer on Saturday and Calgary on Sunday.
Sunday's game in Calgary will be broadcast on Sportsnet beginning at noon.
