It's certainly not the start the Kelowna Rockets were looking for.
The Rockets are 0-2 to start the 2006-07 Western Hockey League season, after dropping their home opener 3-1 to the Tri City Americans Saturday night.
While they were much better than Thursday nights 3-1 loss to expansion Chilliwack, the Rockets didn't get any breaks.
The Americans opened the scoring on a shot that banked in off a Rocket defenders skate and trickled past goaltender Kris Westblom.
Kirt Hill evened the score on a Rockets power play seven minutes into the third period, taking a nice feed from Luke Schenn to beat the goaltender from the left face-off circle.
Taylor Procyshen restored the Americans lead on a power play eight and a half minutes later.
Drew Hoff iced the win with an empty net goal in the dying seconds.
The Rockets are off until next weekend, when they begin a two game mini road trip in Everett Friday and Portland Saturday.
