Rockets Reassign Sylvester

The Kelowna Rockets have announced that 19 year old forward Gary Sylvester has been reassigned by the organization. Sylvester will join the Penticton Valley First Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Sylvester was acquired by the Rockets on October 22, 2004 from the Regina Pats in exchange for a 2005 Bantam Draft Selection.

“Unfortunately we are in a tough situation with twelve 19 year olds remaining on our roster and Gary was simply caught up in a numbers game. We hope Gary’s memories of last season are fond ones and we wish him all the best with the Penticton Vees.” commented Rockets President and General Manager, Bruce Hamilton.

With the reassignment of Sylvester, the Rockets present Roster stands at 28 players. The Rockets play host to the visiting Prince Albert Raiders, Wednesday, October 5 at 7:00 pm at Prospera Place. Following Wednesday’s game, the club departs for a 6 game 8 day Eastern road trip through the prairies playing: Regina, Brandon, Swift Current, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw and Prince Albert.
