Rockets For Breakfast

The Kelowna Rockets Alumni are joining Enquiro for their 4th Annual "Calgary Stampede Pancake Breakfast" this Friday July 8th from 7am - 9 am.

The breakfast, held every year on the first day of the Calgary Stampede, (why should they have all the fun in Calgary?), is FREE for anybody who wants to come and enjoy. Although it's free, donations are kindly accepted if you wish and will be given to the Rockets Alumni Association who will in turn match the dollar amount and give the whole amount to KGH. Enquiro covers the cost of all the supplies and staffs the breakfast so that 100% of money raised goes to KGH.

"We are thrilled that the Rockets are joining us this year and truly appreciate the alumni's generousity of matching every dollar we raise", says Bill Barnes VP of Sales & Marketing at Enquiro. The idea was conceived by Barnes and Enquiro President and CEO Gord Hotchkiss, both of whom have roots in Calgary, "we just remember that first morning of Stampede, the parade is on, there's pancake breakfasts on every corner and nobody works" Barnes explains "we wanted to bring a little taste of that to Kelowna and maybe do some good for a local charity at the same time". In the past money raised has gone to the Cancer Society, United Way and The Okanagan Kids Care Society.

The breakfast will be held behind the Landmark 3 and 4 buildings at the corner of Dickson rd. and Dayton St. With lots of current Rockets and Alumni in town you are sure to run into some of them at the breakfast.
