A Domino's Pizza delivery driver got the scare of his life after he was robbed on a routine delivery.
RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says the victim, a 20-year-old from Vernon, was dropping off a pizza order near 26 Street and 28 Avenue when two men jumped out of the bushes.
"The victim got out of his vehicle to deliver the pizza, he told them the price. One of the suspects told him he was being robbed, and threatened to 'shank' him. His keys were removed from his back pocket and two males left in his vehicle."
The suspects took off in the grey 1990 Honda Civic and headed northbound on Highway 97A.
Molendyk says the vehicle was spotted near 50 Avenue SW and Foothills Road in Salmon Arm.
"Officers from Salmon Arm deployed a spike belt. The two suspects fled on foot, one man was apprehended right away, the second suspect was apprehended a short time later."
The suspects a 33-year-old from Salmon Arm, with two outstanding warrants for his arrest, and a 20-year-old from Kamloops are being held in Vernon cells awaiting a court appearance later on Monday.
