Foster backs Abbott's leadership bid

BC Liberal MLA Eric Foster has joined ten colleagues, including Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick, in supporting George Abbott and his campaign to become the next Premier of British Columbia.
Foster is the Deputy Whip of the BC Liberal Caucus and MLA for Vernon-Monashee.
"George is a candidate who really understands the needs of our Interior communities," says Foster.
"I'm pleased to support him as the right leader for the BC Liberal Party and the next Premier of the province."
Abbott says he is honoured by the Foster's support.
“Eric has been an outstanding Deputy Whip for our party and a tireless advocate for the residents of Vernon-Monashee,” says Abbott.
“I am pleased that I have the support of caucus members from every region in the province.”

Abbott, a former Sicamous berry farmer, announced he was running to be the new leader of the BC Liberal Party and Premier of B.C. on November 25.
