Pot shops along Vernon's so-called Green Mile on Westside Road have been shut down.
Stores along the strip are shuttered and shop workers say Mounties shut them down.
The reason for the mass shutdown is not known at this time. Castanet has asked Vernon RCMP for more information.
Castanet received reports from residents earlier this afternoon of a police presence.
Some said Mounties were blocking entrances to the grey-market businesses as early as 10 a.m.
No police remained in the area shortly after 2 p.m.
