Farmstrong Cidery near Armstrong holding hiring fair Feb. 8

A popular North Okanagan cidery is looking for some help.

Farmstrong Cidery, is holding a hiring fair Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prospective employees are encouraged to drop in with their resume, and no registration is required.

Farmstrong is looking for bartenders, servers, bakers, line cooks, pizziolo, kitchen assistant, sous chef, chef de partie, dishwashers and busers.

Farmstrong is a family-run business making small-batch, craft ciders that are served in a heritage barn dating back to 1896.

“We support local in our farm to table restaurant while serving our own farm-raised beef and poultry. Our goal is to create a unique dining and cider experience for all those who visit Farmstrong,” the cidery says in an email.

“Looking for fun-spirited, hard working individuals to join our team at Farmstrong Cider Company who want to work in a seasonal position from March to November. Day, evening, and weekend availability is required. We are looking for team players who work collaboratively with others with humility coupled with a great sense of humour. Someone who can keep a level head when working under pressure.”

Applicants should be able to carry 40 pounds and do stairs multiple times a day.
