SilverStar Mountain Resort will light the way for the Greater Vernon BC Winter Games.
A torch-lighting ceremony will be held at the Vernon ski hill Dec. 10 at 7 p.m
Festivities will include fireworks, fire spinners, light displays, roaming entertainers, and the Polson Artisan Market.
The Greater Vernon BC Winter Games booth will have free hot chocolate and prize giveaways.
A torchlight ski parade takes place at 7 p.m. followed by the lighting of the torch at 7:15 p.m.
The event will end with a bang as fireworks will light up the night sky at 7:30 p.m.
Games organizers are still looking for volunteers to help out during the events, which will be hosted in Vernon March 23-26, 2023.
“If you have the time and can help out you can register at the Light Up,” says Lara Konkin with the Games.
