Coldstream remembers

More than 400 Coldstream residents turned out on Remembrance Day to honour Canadian soldiers.

Mayor Ruth Hoyte, in her first public event since she was sworn in on Monday, was the emcee for the event that was held at the Coldstream cenotaph.

Music for the event was provided by the Vernon Community Singers, led by Molly Boyd.

Paul Hunter played the Last Post and Reveille and Pastor Alistair Rees-Thomas said the Invocation.

Air Cadets from 223 Red Lion Squadron formed the honour guard.

After the ceremony, attendees were invited to the Coldstream Fire Hall where they were served hot drinks and donuts.
