The Okanagan Women's Expo is taking place at the Vernon Recreation Complex today and Sunday.
And organizer Chris Madsen said while it may be called a woman's expo, everyone is welcome.
“We've got more than 60 vendors. There's lots of stuff for men too,” Madsen said. “You name it, it's here.”
The majority of the booths are from local small businesses and groups.
“They are people with ideas and visions. This gives them an opportunity to share with the community,” Madsen said, adding the expo is full of unique items that cannot be found at big box stores.
“A lot of this stuff is actually home made. It's a product you are not going to get elsewhere.”
The event started as the Body and Soul Wellness Fair in 2006 with annual shows in Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton.
The fair is on until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The expo will be held in Kelowna Nov. 12 to 15.
