Vernon's Sun Valley Cruise-In donates to local SPCA shelter

Classic cars, wagging tails

The return of Vernon's Sun Valley Cruise-In car show was a "smashing success," organizers say.

And, now that the dust has settled, the show is donating proceeds from the event to local charities.

Organizing committee member Randy Barton recently presented a cheque for $1,500 to Jeremy Smith of Vernon’s SPCA shelter.

The SPCA is one of three local charities the show supports from proceeds from its annual July event.

"This year’s car show was a smashing success with record crowds and number of show vehicles attending over the weekend, with some vehicles coming from as far as Manitoba and Saskatchewan," organizers say.

The Cruise-In will be returning in 2023 on the weekend of July 8-9.
