Vernon School District graduating 652 students this year

Vernon Secondary School grads relived a school tradition Thursday as they gathered in their caps and gowns.

The grad class of 195 tossed their caps in the air after posing for a group photo outside the school to celebrate the end of their secondary school lives.

Formal ceremonies will take place on Saturday afternoon at Kal Tire Place, beginning at 3 p.m..

There are 652 graduating students in total across School District 22.

115 students from Kalamalka Secondary graduated last week, 155 from W.L. Seaton on Thursday, and they will be followed by the Clarence Fulton grad class of 102 and Charles Bloom grads today.

The alternate schools program (ALP, Open Door, Crossroads, and vLearn) is also graduating 35 students.
