Lumby Days is in full swing today and all day Sunday

Party time in Lumby

Lumby's biggest party of the year is underway.

After a two-year hiatus due to COVID concerns, Lumby Days has returned.

The event carries on this evening and all day Sunday with numerous activities for young and old alike.

“Everybody missed it. It is a beautiful family event and the crowd is proving it,” said Merna Alexander, with Lumby Days. “This is the biggest crowd we've ever had.”

Lumby Days has taken over the entire downtown park as well as the arena, curling rink and community hall.

Alexander said the midway, food row and live entertainment on the main stage and will carry on for the rest of the day as well as on Sunday.

Also taking place today and Sunday is a show and shine featuring some of the hottest vehicles in the Valley, the Monashee Arts Council Festival of the Arts will have local works on display at Whitevalley Community Hall, chainsaw carving demonstration and sale by Tyler Welfing, Firearm Antiques Show in the Pat Duke Arena along with numerous vendors and booths.
