The Downtown Vernon Association wants people to bask in the sunny glow of the city centre.
June 18 is Sunshine Day – and will feature a fashion show parade, rooftop band, a DJ, roaming entertainers, sidewalk sales and more.
Like last year's event, 30th Avenue will be open and parking will be available.
The Towne Theatre is hosting a film festival during the weekend, which people can catch for free on Sunshine Day.
One of the offerings will be a Star Wars fan film, and Darth Vader and friends will be outside the theatre for a photo op.
The Garcia Band will perform on the rooftop of Thirty One & Main plus, on street level, see a circus act on stilts, meet Capt. Jack Sparrow, musicians and more.
Tents and tables will be set up on the sidewalks for treats, specials, tourism info, air brush tattoos, balloon animals, classical sounds, and more.
