COVID cases fall across most of Okanagan and Thompson; Penticton, Armstrong-Spallumcheen exceptions

Cases decline across region

Most of the North Okanagan and Shuswap saw a steep drop in the number of confirmed COVID cases last week.

The BC Centre for Disease Control said Vernon had 44 cases between Nov. 14 and 20.

That's down from 75 reported for the previous week of Nov. 7-13.

Enderby also saw a drop in the number of cases from 35 to 20 over the same time period.

However, the Armstrong-Spallumcheen area saw a doubling from 10 to 20 cases.

Elsewhere in the region, Penticton also saw an increase, with 18 cases being reported last week, up from 15 from the week before.

The Salmon Arm region saw a drop from 41 cases to 37.

The Central Okanagan, which includes Kelowna, Lake Country and West Kelowna, saw a drop of 87 cases, with 140 being recorded last week.

Kamloops recorded 92 cases last week, down from 132 the previous week.
