Mild temperatures and rain in store for the Thompson-Okanagan region this week

A week of mild temperatures is forecast for the Thompson-Okanagan region, with rain to follow later this week.

Monday and Tuesday will be the warmest days of the week with daytime highs ranging from 15 C to 18 C throughout the region.

Moving into Wednesday, the cloudy conditions will begin to take over, says Environment Canada Meteorologist Eric Mak.

“By Wednesday there could be some high clouds rolling in, it'll be very dry until, perhaps Friday,” says Mak.

Thursday will see a high of 15 C, with a mix of sun and cloud.

The rain is expected to begin heading into the weekend.

Friday will peak at 12 C in the Okanagan with a chance of showers, while Kamloops will reach 14 C, also expecting showers.

The Interior will see its coldest day of the week on Saturday, with a high of 10 C and rain in the forecast.

Kamloops will peak at 10 C with a chance of showers.
