A downtown Vernon barbershop is back in action after thieves smashed into the store and made off with clippers and scissors.
The Gentlemen's Shop/Shave Parlour on 31st Avenue says staff arrived Thursday to find the front door smashed in.
"So yesterday started off with a bit of shenanigans, but we want to thank everyone for all the support you gave us," management wrote on the shop's Instagram account.
"Sometime during early Thursday morning, we were broken into and stolen from ... However, we all pulled together and shared some things and still rocked the whole day!"
The store thanked Morgans Glass for "literally replacing our door right away! You guys were amazing and so damn helpful!"
And supportive businesses sent over some treats to lift spirits at the shop, including Brown's Socialhouse and Ratio Coffee House.
"We truly truly have a phenomenal community here in Vernon, and we couldn't be luckier to have our little barbershop here ... thank you all who reached out with kind words and support."
