Vernon's BlueSky Organics nominated for several Grow-up Cannabis awards

BlueSky on leading edge

Vernon's BlueSky Organics has been recognized for its research and environmental impact in the cannabis growing field.

BlueSky is a manufacturer of specialized soil and nutrient blends for organic agriculture production.

The company has been nominated for six Grow-up Cannabis awards.

The national awards recognize excellence and innovation in the industry.

BlueSky is nominated for the following awards:

  • Environmental Impact
  • Outstanding Research
  • Cultivation Education
  • Best Growing Media
  • Nutrients Product
  • Grow-at-home Package

"We are very pleased with this record number of nominations, as it validates the work we are doing to help the industry become more environmentally sustainable. It's not what you grow, it's what you grow with," says CEO Mary Horvatincic.

BSO won Best Nutrients at the 2019 event, with the 2020 event cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Winners this year will be announced at the Grow-up Conference and Expo in Niagara Falls, Ont., at the end of November. The event hosts more than 3,000 industry personnel from across the country.

BlueSky was founded in 2015 by growers to provide top quality soils, growing media and nutrients for organic production of cannabis, agriculture crops and home gardening.

The company is also working with UBC-Okanagan researchers to develop innovative, sustainable growing media utilizing industrial waste byproducts.
