New child care centre coming to Armstrong later this year

A new child care centre will be opening later this year in Armstrong.

The Kindale Developmental Association, a non-profit organization that’s been around since 1959, announced the opening of a licensed child care centre called Kindale Child Care Centre.

The centre is planning to open in mid-November and will be able to accommodate 25 full-time children, ages three to five years old.

They will operate Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m, to 5 p.m.

“Kindale Child Care Centre programs encourage the children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development,” says Project Coordinator Karen Reierson.

“The individuality of each child is respected and supported with the goal of fostering their creativity, confidence and lifelong love of learning and movement.”

Kindale Child Care Centre is fully wheelchair accessible and able to accommodate children who require additional support.

The preparation is almost complete with newly furnished spaces, educational toys and playground installation.
