Pickup goes off Highway 97 beside Swan Lake, lands on railway tracks

A pickup went off Highway 97 just north of Vernon Thursday morning, coming to rest on the railroad tracks beside Swan Lake.

Tow trucks have now successfully removed the Toyota Tacoma, but as of 9:15 a.m., one lane of southbound traffic was still blocked at the scene near the weigh scales.

It's not known what caused the incident or if any injuries were involved.
