Environment Canada has issued a warning for a cold snap over the next few days
It's going to get c-c-c-cold
It would appear Old Man Winter is not done with the Okanagan just yet.
Environment Canada has issued a weather alert for most of B.C. and things are going to get chilly.
Cold Arctic air is currently pushing southwards across the B.C. Interior and the Okanagan is directly in its path.
Following a relatively mild first half of winter, temperatures are going to start dropping in the Interior – a lot.
Weather Forecasters are calling for temperatures to be 10 to 20 degrees below the seasonal average.
The mercury is expected to dip down to -5 C tonight, but that will seem warm compared to the overnight low of -20 C that is being called for on Wednesday.
From there, temperatures will start to warm up a bit, but by Feb. 11, overnight lows are still expected to be in the -14 C range.
The good news is, there will be sunny blue skies overhead.
