Sanitary sewer upgrade to close portion of 34th Street in Vernon

Sewer work is set to begin this week on 34th Street in Vernon.

The upgrade will close a portion of 34th Street (between 42nd and 43rd avenues), starting Wednesday.

The road will be temporarily closed to through traffic and will be accessible to local traffic only while the sanitary sewer upgrades are done in the area.

The work is anticipated to be complete by Jan. 29, the City of Vernon advises.

Motorists should expect delays in the neighbourhood.
