Members of the school community tested positive for the virus

COVID at Seaton school

COVID has been reported at another Vernon high school.

WL Seaton Secondary School principal Jeff Huggins said in an email Jan. 8 that members of the school community tested positive for the virus and are self-isolating at home.

The exposure was on Jan. 4-5.

“We are supporting Interior Health as they undertake contact tracing to determine if any other members of our school community were in contact with the people who tested positive for COVID-19 and if an additional steps are required,” said Huggins. “We are following protocol established for these circumstances. The safety and wellbeing of our students, families and staff remains our highest priority.”
The email says students should still attend school while contact tracing is underway.

Last year, COVID was confirmed at Clarence Fulton Secondary School.
