Vernon's Brown's Socialhouse is holding a holiday toy drive to help the less fortunate this Christmas.

With many not working due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more people are in need of a helping hand this year.

Owner-operator Gerran Thorhaug says patrons also have two ways to benefit from their generosity.

This Sunday, you can bring in a toy and receive 50% off your meal, up to a $20 value.

With limited seating due to pandemic precautions, the restaurant at Vernon's Village Green Shopping Centre is also taking donations of new, unwrapped toys all week.

Until Wednesday next week, drop a toy off and receive a $15 gift card that is redeemable in January.

The collected toys will distributed to families in need by Santas Anonymous.
