What intersections in Vernon have the most vehicle crashes?

Most high-risk intersections

Which Vernon intersections do you think have had the most vehicle crashes in the past five years?

It appears there are some common denominators when it comes to reported crashes in the area. According to ICBC's data, between Highway 97 (32nd Street) and 27th Street, those two streets account for eight of the top 10 most accident-prone intersections in the city.

The intersection with the most crashes from 2015 to 2019 was 25th Avenue and 32nd Street, which has seen 202 crashes during that time period. Number two on the list is the 27th Street and 48th Avenue junction in the north end with 183 collisions.

To round out the triple-digit intersections, the 32nd Street and 43rd Avenue crossing had 174 crashes in the past five years, and the Highway 97 and Stickle Road intersections had 105 reported crashes.

ICBC states this data is not entirely indicative of all the crashes that occurred since 2015, since crash location information is self-reported and isn't always verifiable. The above map also excludes incidents in parking lots and collisions with parked vehicles.

If you would like to see the the full list, you can visit ICBC's website.
